Lunch & Hang Time
A nutritious meal will be offered at the RC Cafeteria, but parents may also choose to send a packed lunch with their children. Our lunches are family style which includes setting and clearing off tables and serving food to one another. We aim to keep our food waste to a minimum by focusing on the enviromental impact of waste. Particpants learn to be more self sufficient and are accountable for the food they put on their plates by taking part in this process. Lunch is followed by “Hang Time” which gives participants a chance to socialize among themselves. During Hang Time, the RCSummer Bank and Kiosks will be open for participants to exchange money and purchase snacks and RCSummer merchandise.
*Lunch fees are NOT included in the program tuition.
Club Time
Everyone will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of creative and thought-provoking activities that are designed to last the entire session. The results of intense exploration and learning are exhibited at the end of the session.
Happy Hour

Ropes Course (lower elements)
This element of the program is based on experiential learning and teamwork.
Community Explorers
Participants will have the opportunity to get off campus and explore their community. This program element will involve community service and help them become more aware of the world around them.
Fantastic Fridays and Special Days
It is part of the RCSummer tradition to spend some time each week off-campus discovering what Istanbul has to offer. This year we will be going to Burç Beach, Polonezkoy, and more. We will also spend one Friday on the Plateau for Carnival Day, which includes inflatable toys, sumo wrestling, bungee jumping and live music. This year RCSummer will end with a surprise festival for all kids, parents and friends!
English is spoken here!
Throughout the day, participants will be asked to communicate in English as much as possible. We have gimmicks and fun ways to help and motivate them to remain in the target language. Every day, a “secret counselor” will be on the look-out for kids speaking as much English as possible. In addition, each participant will receive a passport in which she/he will be able to collect stamps for being a positive and productive member of RCSummer. These stamps can be redeemed for prizes and surprises.
