RCS ACADEMY – A ROBERT COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

WHAT IS RCS ACADEMY?
RCS Academy is an English summer program made up of half day courses offered by some of the best and most experienced Robert College faculty & staff.
We excel at creating learning opportunities for participants and offer fun and exciting courses that will be new and different from what is offered during the school year.
As a program we promote values such as respect, honesty, empathy, sportsmanship, caring for others and the environment.
WHO IS RCS ACADEMY FOR?
In order to be eligible to apply for RCS Academy, participants must be 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17 years old by the first day of the program and have finished the 6th grade.
WHAT AWAITS YOU AT RCS ACADEMY?
RCS Academy is an experiential learning program.
Within the scope of STEAM, the program offers subjects such as philosophy, psychology and entrepreneurship in addition to activities in fine arts, performing arts, and multimedia.
Participants will be awarded a certificate, indicating their participation in terms of hours.
All courses are taught in English.
Programs run from Monday to Friday either from 8:30 to 12:00 or from 12:30 to 16:00 and are offered in three different sessions, each composed of two weeks. At the end of each session, we organize a Farewell Fair for our participants, parents and their friends; an event for our participants to display their accomplishments & projects, followed by our Certificate Ceremony.
Participants may attend maximum of two courses each session, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Instead of an afternoon course, participants can join our Outdoor Leadership Training program as well.
HYBRID AND ONLINE PROGRAMS
Participants are offered a half-day course where they will explore academically oriented fun and exciting subjects that will be new and different from what is offered during their school year.
The half-day courses will be offered by some of the best and most experienced Robert College Faculty & Staff from Monday to Friday between 8:30 to 12:00 or 12:30 to 16:00. Participants may choose only one morning and one afternoon course.
Course topics include various types of STEAM courses such as; fine arts, performing arts, multimedia arts & crafts, journalism, entrepreneurship and more.
There will be a total of three sessions composed of two-weeks each. All courses will be taught in English.
OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
After their morning course, participants are offered an afternoon Leadership Training Program where the outdoors and nature is used as a proving ground. They will hone their teamwork and leadership skills by executing scenarios set up for them.
From Monday to Friday between 12:30 to 16:00, our participants will join training sessions in various topics involving the outdoors, survival, teamwork & leadership at their base camp at Robert College campus. On Friday at 12:30, they will be taken to Nişantepe Orman Park and Şile – Yeşil Vadi for overnight camping and orienteering activities.
The element is designed and led by our EWES (European Wilderness Education School) certified expert trainer and is facilitated by Robert College and our long-serving partner in Outdoor Training, Yöne-Team.
There will be a total of three sessions composed of two-weeks each. Programs will be conducted in English.
