Have you ever wanted to learn another language, but don’t have the time or don’t know the best way to go about it? While classroom language lessons are valuable, the advancement of modern digital technology has enabled the creation of a multitude of exciting language learning tools which have made it possible for anyone with enough time and motivation to learn a language to a high level entirely through self-study. This course will lead students through the language learning process using many fun and effective digital tools along the way, including the Virtual Reality Lab Headsets. Special emphasis will be put on how to learn a language with AI tools. Learn the language you have always wanted to learn, and have fun along the way!

Tim McLernon
Tim McLernon is originally from Canada. He has been a Physical Education and French teacher at Robert College for 5 years and has lived and worked in Turkey for a total of 16 years. In addition, he is a licensed basketball coach who has been coaching for over 20 years and has coached numerous players over the years who have gone on to have successful careers beyond the high-school level. As a French teacher he works closely with the French Institute in Istanbul and helps to prepare students to take the French proficiency exam DELF, at all levels of ability. He is also a passionate language learner who speaks 4 languages well. Finally, Tim also serves as the director of the highly-successful Model United Nations program at Robert College.
