Play to Lead – Athlete’s Development League
The program is designed to be hands-on and interactive, with a focus on active learning. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions, explore different approaches, and experiment with their skills and techniques. They will learn through a combination of instruction, demonstration, and practice, with plenty of opportunities for feedback and reflection. The two-week program offers a comprehensive sports and leadership experience for participants, with a wide range of sports to choose from. The program is divided into two weeks, each with a specific focus.
Week one of the program will emphasize the development of participants’ skills and knowledge of traditional sports, as well as introduce them to new and exciting activities and games. Participants will have the opportunity to try out various sports and games, learn the rules and techniques of each, and practice and develop their skills. This week is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation in various sports equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for week two.
In week two of the program, participants will take on a more active role, developing their leadership and coaching skills. They will be given the chance to lead parts of skill-related sessions, working alongside their coach and other participants to share their knowledge with their peers. This week is designed to encourage participants to take ownership of their learning while also furthering their abilities in leadership.
Overall, this two-week program is designed for young people who enjoy being active and want to broaden their skills and knowledge in sports and leadership.
