In this introductory Psychology course, participants will embark on an enlightening journey into the science of psychology and the intricacies of human behavior, while covering AP Psychology topics. Throughout this journey, the participants will explore a wide range of topics, such as research methods, neurophysiology, perception, cognition, development, learning, consciousness, intelligence, and personality. Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and insightful readings, participants will gain a deep understanding of how psychological theories and research contribute to our understanding of the mind, brain, and behavior.

For the course project, participants will have the opportunity to choose between two options: a research-based project or an applied work project. Those selecting the research option will be given a task with preparing a preliminary research poster based on a research question of their choice within the field of psychology. They will conduct a literature review, formulate a research hypothesis, design a study, collect and analyze data (if feasible), and present their findings in a visually engaging poster format. This project will allow participants to deepen their understanding of research methodologies and practices in psychology.

Alternatively, participants opting for the applied work option will create a video, podcast, or magazine focused on a topic of interest within the subject of psychology. They will have the creative freedom to explore psychological concepts through various media formats, such as producing a documentary style video on a psychological disorder, recording a podcast episode discussing recent advancements in the field, or designing a magazine highlighting the intersection of psychology and everyday life. This project will encourage students to think critically about how psychological principles apply to real-world contexts.
