In this course learners discover the basic concepts of VR, AR and XR experiences as well as the ethics involved in developing these kinds of applications. The course will have 3 parts; Learn, Project, Play. Learning sessions will provide articles, videos, discussions and presentations which are compiled meticulously by instructors.
In the project sessions students will select their role and craft their storyboard by using storytelling algorithms. In this part, they will also learn “How to use a 360 camera” and “How to use Adobe Captivate program to create their VR projects” and the last part is for fun.
The end of the day is a time to relax and play VR games. The VR games have been carefully selected from the Oculus and Steam library, specially for the age group. In this course an Oculus headset will be provided for each learner. Learners should bring their personal laptops.

Pınar Kadıoğlu is the education technology coordinator at RC who has been working on technology integration with teachers and students for 8 years. After she graduated from Bilkent University, Computer and Instructional Education M.A., she worked for two years teaching ICT in primary and secondary school levels in private schools. During the school year she works on integrating new technologies (such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence) into the curriculum and their effects on learning. She is the author of ‘Steve Jobs Gibi Yap’ from the National Geography Kids series.
