We’re proud to announce the Next Level Challenge of RC Academy Outdoor Leadership and Adventure Training Program. This program is a full day / 1 week program where participants will have a chance to put their basic outdoor, leadership and teamworking skills on a 2-day Field Trip following a 3-day Bootcamp at RC Campus.

RC Campus Bootcamp is designed as an agile Tribe forming stage. In this stage participants will have a chance to refresh or learn and test their outdoor expedition skills along with constructing their RC Tribe culture.

Bootcamp aka Tribe Stage will take place from Monday – Wednesday 08:30 – 16:00 at RC Campus covering subjects like Expedition Leadership, Base Camp Management, Navigation & Orienteering, Expedition & Camp Kitchen, Advanced Fire Making, First Aid & Expedition & Camping Gears. These topics will be covered on the principles of Experiential Learning methodology with many “gamified” workshops and scenarios.

Expedition Stage is a 2.5 – day experience designed for 2 consecutive camping nights with forest hikes which will offer participants to exercise their stage one, RC Bootcamp / Tribe learnings, on the field. On top of that, this stage will give them the chance to learn more about themselves as a person & a person in a tribe which focuses on increasing self-awareness, problem solving, success & failure management, resilience, and competency as a summary.

Who Can Attend?

Participants who attended RC Academy / Outdoor Leadership & Adventure program in the past and outdoor enthusiasts with an experience in camping, hiking, climbing or continuous sport training.

There will be only one session for this program between dates July 28 – August 1st and it will be conducted in English.

The element is designed and led by our EWES (European Wilderness Education School) certified expert trainer who is also in charge of our Outdoor Leadership & Adventure Level 1 in RC Academy and is facilitated by Robert College and our long-serving partner in Outdoor Training, Yöne-Team.

Burak İkizler
Burak İkizler has studied Chemical Engineering at METU. He also holds an MBA degree from Bilkent University and New York University SCPS. He took management duties in several dot-com companies, consulting and service firms and worked in the healthcare sector for the past 12 years. Roles he took include sales, deputy GM and GM positions. From 2018 and on, he decided to pursue his passion of exploring outdoors. Following his enrollment at EWES (European Wilderness Education School) Wilderness Guide Level 1 training program and spending a year in Spanish, French and Catalan Pyrenees, Andorra and Donana; one of the most amazing National Parks in the world, as a Wilderness Leadership Trainer, he joined the ranks of Yone-Team, a company focused on Experiential Learning for “new generation’s leaders.” Robert College/RC Summer Programs and Yöne-Team are long term partners in outdoor education.
