Build and code your own moving, sensing and thinking robots and gadgets. In this course, we will go on an interesting journey through electronics, code and robotics. We will learn how to use the Raspberry Pi minicomputer to build your very own customizable robots and gadgets from scratch.

Along the way, we’ll undertake a series of projects that will give you robotic abilities, from remote control to following lines, to recognizing objects and more! By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped with the programming and engineering skills to embark upon years of robotics and computer science fun and should have the basic understanding you need to make your craziest robot or gadget ideas come to life.

This course also introduces many other areas of computing along the way, including coding in one of the most popular programming languages around: Python. This is the perfect first step for anybody with an interest in computers and technology!

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of any programming language.

Yeliz Yıldırım Tülükaş

Yeliz Yıldırım Tülükaş is a teacher and administrator with 20 years of experience in developing curriculum and designing activities in the fields of information technology, software, coding, robotics, STEM, and maker at the K12 level in TED Istanbul College Foundation Private Education Institutions. For the past 8 years, she has been leading efforts to integrate technology into education for students and teachers as the head of the Department of Information Technology and Education Technologies. After completing her undergraduate degree in Computer and Instructional Technologies at Marmara University, she completed a master's degree in Education Management and Inspection. She has worked on computer-assisted education applications and developed educational software for different disciplines. She has also served as a team mentor in international robotic competitions such as the FIRST Robotic Competition (FRC) and First Lego League (FLL). She teaches the AP Computer Science (AP CS A) course.
